Empowering Charter Schools: McKinney Vento 101 (TPCSA Conference)

"Empowering Charter Schools" was an in-person training held during the Texas Public Charter Schools Conference in Houston, TX on October 6, 2025. This McKinney-Vento 101 for Charter Schools provided the key components of the McKinney-Vento law and the educational definition of homelessness. the roles and responsibilities of Charter School's staff and homeless liaisons to support students experiencing homelessness were described and addressed the key components of identification, enrollment and access.
